Time is running out for you to take advantage of the free photo session. The offer expires at the end of this year. For your $50 donation to the tax-free, non-profit Crofton Regional Community Center (CRCC) you not only receive a free photo session but you will receive a 11-by-14 free photo and a chance to win a free 24-by-30 custom wall photo from a drawing to take place at the Sweethearts Ball on February 18.
(Winner need not be present.) And that's not all. You will receive reduced prices on all package pricings, including Holiday cards. What a great deal! But time is nearly up and you are urged to call right now and set up an appointment with Linda McCarthy at Visual Concepts at 410-626-7474 or email her at This email address is being protected from spambots. ". . . . . we connected with Linda at Visual Concepts after we did the donation to CRCC (Crofton Craft Fair) in exchange for the family photo and she did a great job for us. She is really very good! We got some pictures of my son and a really nice family portrait. Whoever had the idea for that partnership did a great job!" - Jerry Walker, councilman.
Sharon Greenip had this to say as she forwarded some pictures from her photo session, "The sitting was quick and easy. The setting was wonderful and the pictures turned out great! I'd recommend it for any family with small children."
This offer has only weeks to go before it's gone, so please call now at 410-626-7474.
Holidays mean busy days and many distractions for us all. The CRCC is busy behind the scenes preparing for their Board of Directors meeting in January and the Sweethearts Ball on February 18, 2012. But the biggest thing this week is the Book Sale to take place at my house this weekend. All books must go! The prices are vastly marked down and there are over 500 books to look at. There are some free ones as well as other items, as well. Look for autographed books, and a wide selection displayed. Shop for Christmas or just for yourself. Please, drop by and say hello. This takes place on December 10 and 11, from 8 am to 2 pm. The address is 1718 Urby Dr.
Frank Bedard, our program director, presented us with new drawings of the proposed community center at a recent meeting by a second architect. The Executive Committee plans to make an announcement regarding the winning design at the next general meeting with pictures to show everyone. The estimated budgets for construction for both alternatives have been submitted to the Executive Committee for final review. Stay tuned.
Irene Bedard, who is doing our grant applications for us, is close to completing a couple of submissions. There are so many details to be included in the first submissions that once these have been gathered, subsequent grant applications will be quicker and easier. If you have information about other potential grant sources the CRCC should apply for, please contact one of the Executive Committee.
Tickets are now available for the Sweetheart's Ball on February 18, 2012 and everyone is looking for auction items. The Sweetheart's Ball in 2012 will be the same price and agenda as the previous one but, hopefully, with all electricity working. If you have an auction item to donate for this big event please contact John Hollywood at 301-261-3515.
